Ryan Smith, M.D. completed his undergraduate training with a Bachelor of Science in Premed from Bob Jones University in 2012. He then attended University of South Carolina School of Medicine Greenville and earned his MD in 2017. More recently, Dr. Smith trained at University of Iowa Hospitals in clinics for internship and residency and graduated in 2022.
He is board certified in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery and is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery and the International Surgical Sleep Society. During residency, he received extensive training in the treatment and management of acute and chronic ear disease, hearing loss, benign and malignant head and neck tumors, and both pediatric and adult sleep disorders. Dr. Smith’s interests outside of medicine include spending time with his wonderful wife, young son, and energetic dog.
